Hehe... or Graton. I'm actually heading over to the Russian River Brewery afterwards. It's the release of Pliny the Younger

Sounds like fun. Where in Napa are you planning to stop to eat & wine taste?

And, what's the route? Are you going to take Wooden Horse & Chiles Valley Roads up to Pope Valley and over the hill via Howell Mt. Road into Napa Valley? If not you should try it some time. It's a GREAT back road run on motorcycle or in a sports car.

Instead of going over the hill to Napa, you can also take Pope Valley & Butts Canyon roads north all the way up to Middletown and Clear Lake, which is a 60 mile back road run between Cordelia and Middletown with NO cops and only a couple of stop signs along the way. Go as fast or slow as you like and/or as the usually light traffic will allow. Worst thing you'll run into on this route are slow drivers and the trucks/boats on the road in the summer headed to Lake Berryessa.

Are the lines bad? I've never waited in line for the younger... I usually just bring growlers to fill up some elders.

IIRC, we stopped at V Market for lunch last time in Yountville. The routes are always undisclosed until we meet and greet at the starting location. I'm just passing along the message as I'm not the actual planner for the event.

I will be in the drive until we reach Napa/Yountville for lunch. That's where I will be breaking apart from the gang to head on over to Russian River.

Some ppl waited 7 hours in front of the brewery last year. and growlers are not allowed for younger this year. limited 3 cup of 10 oz per person. I waited almost 3 hours last year, and I was there only 30 minutes after they open.

Fairfield to Santa Rosa is about 1 hour driving, normal road, not those mt roads. So I don't think I can join you guys at fairfield. I may be able to save you a spot in line if you come early enough.

Ok. If rains, you will see me in local bar for the younger, not gonna stand in the rain for this. LOL. Wed, Hayward, Thu, Palo Alto. I think Sac will have bar carry the younger too.

You should also try Drake's green label. very impress, since I don't like any other beer from this brand. (except black label, they should out 4 hours after release this year.)

Haha... I know. I need to go to Santa Rosa to do something so I might as well wait in line anyways.

Sorry guys. The event has been canceled and postponed to the weekend after Valentines day. I updated the drive info.

Some news from the host:
"So it looks like Mother Nature decided that our attempt to drive in the rain was not acceptable. I received reports that two of the roads we would be driving on are flooded and one area has had a minor land slide. As I don't have a 4x4 that effectively shut down the drive for this weekend =( Date for the drive has been moved to the weekend after Valentines day."

I'll still be at Russian River though!
