FS: Falken 453 265/30/19 x 2 As New - £220 ***PRICE DROP***

Hi All,

Recently had a set of new rims, and decided to change size from my 255/30/19 to 265/30/19. I bought a new set of the Falken 453 at £133+VAT each last week, a total of £319.20 - for which I have the receipt if anyone wants to see it.

Having driven home from the garage, I found that given my setup (lowered and offsets), this is now causing rubbing when I go over bumps, so I am looking to replace and go back to 255/30/19.

As such, a new set of tyres (only done 20 miles tops) are up for sale here. Currently still on the car, and will be driven to the garage when my new ones come up, and be removed.

Located in Leicester. Looking for £270 + postage (or free collection).

***PRICE DROP****

Now need to get these shifted, had a few people interested, but nothing in the way of a done deal as yet. Lowering to £220 + postage, or collection for free.

Can probably ship at £8-£10 without full insurance. Fully covered for sale value is about £20 unless you can find it better - happy to go with it.

If interested, drop me a PM or a reply here. Cheers.

Sorry to say but he's right. Tyres are now an internet thing. Anywhere else they are over prices (tyre shops)

Hi. The ones on ebay that I think you are looking at are the Falken 452.

These are Falken 453. These are the new replacement for the 452, and carry along changes/improvements which replace the soon to be discontinued 452, including being asymmetrical which means they are much easier to rotate than the directional 452s, as well as being a quieter tyre amongst other things.

Also, I believed the price I paid was very competitive, as Camskill charge £171.90 each + postage. Hence I think asking around £75 less than that (subject to postage) is a good deal for a new set of tyres.

Being honest, I would be looking to get £270 + postage for these, which I think is fair unless anyone can show me 453 in this size, for less, in which case I will obviously rethink.

I am however wanting to also get these gone so that I can get my car back on the road, and as such, if you are serious, PM a postcode for delivery and I will get it priced up and see if we can come to a deal. Im a nice guy

Also, looking around, postage would be around £20 unless anyone can recommend a cheaper company to use?!

Cheers for that Russ, will be handy to get tyres from them. Anyone used them before, or recommend them.

In all honesty, I will be happy if I can cover the cost of my new tyres (which are cheaper than my old ones) and I accept the loss.

Do u really need to change them? 265 are more or less standard on e9s. Are you running spacers?

Im not running spacers, but I now run an aggressive offset. That combined with lowered car is causing me issues. I already have arches rolled too. It may just be that falkens run wide, and another brand would not be an issue. I might stick with fallen but drop to 255, or try toyo 255.

To be honest, I would have thought these would be pretty easy to shift given they are a common size on the E9x.

Used them a couple of weeks ago, they are based in Germany or Netherlands so I waited a few days for delivery but the cost can't be sniffed at.

out of interest, what wheel specs are you running?

also: www.interparcel.com - their "Interparcel Economy" uses UPS, and if you tape the tyres together they will have no issues collecting them as 1 package, so you'll be able to ship them for 8.99+VAT

And being UPS, its a super reliable courier service, unlike myhermes or some of the other cheaper couriers that never turn up when they are meant to!

What do you do on dimensions etc to get them sent for 8.99?

I sent two tyres this morning using their UPS service but had to send them separately as they were too heavy when sent together.

Two 265/35/19 Toyos weigh approx 22kg and measure 65cm x65x 56 when taped together. Sent separately cost me £16.98 +VAT (+ £5 +VAT to insure them for £250) so a total of £26.38.

Be interested to know if there is a cheaper workaround.

Bit "chalk n cheese" then - dont mean to offend mate, but to make a fair/transparent comparison, it needs to be like-for-like with the OP's offering, otherwise its just trashing his thread
