Large backlog for PDC delivery

I placed my order for a 2014 335i M-Sport this past Saturday (1/25/14) and it's already in production with a VIN. Estimated completion date is 2/5/14 but the PDC can't accommodate me until 4/3/14 which is crazy!

I told my CA to go ahead and just do a dealership delivery since I can't wait that long.

Has anyone else run into a similar issue where the car will likely arrive to the states far before the PDC can set up an appointment with you?

Kind of bummed that I can't do the PDC now, but at least I get my car sooner.

BMW gave me a free 1 day class for being a returning customer which I am taking advantage of in July, though I upgraded you a 2 day class. Perhaps others are taking advantage of this deal also?

Yeah I wouldn't mind doing that since I was looking forward to making the trip.

The CA said he'd make arrangements to have me go down another time. Good to know you were upgraded to the 2 day course.

Had my dealer just call. They said they could have me in as early as Feb, but my car won't be done till March.

My car is on the ship now and gets to SC on 2/7. My PCD date is not until 3/21. I plan on calling the performance center to see if I can get my delivery date moved up. I have a Friday delivery date, which I assume is popular, so I am hoping I can do some kind of horse-trading. If I had known that my car was going to sit in SC for 6 weeks, I would have skipped PCD.

PDC = park distance control
PCD = performance center delivery

It's called the performance center and they deliver cars there, hence PCD.
