They charge hourly rate for the service. FMIC install takes about hour to hour and half. So you are looking at $100 to $150 for install.

Did you have to buy a brand new intake charge pipe since the stock rubber bellows had to be cut off to get the ER installed, or did you simply cut through the band clamp to salvage the boot and now use a regular hose clamp?

My upper intercooler piping is manufactured to fit with newer version of ER charge pipe which its length is equal to both stock's charge pipe and elbow pipe combined.
I don't think there is any need to cut stock pipe.
You can contact ER if you want to make sure.

Thanks,

Thanks,
My question involves going back to your stock IC because from the installation directions, the stock intake charge pipe elbow on the right side (passenger) has to be cut off in order to fit the supplied silicon boot included with the ER IC. Thus, since you are going back to stock, either the OEM boot was salvaged originally by only cutting off the non-removable metal band that held it onto the stock charge pipe, or you had to buy a new or used stock charge pipe and scavenge the stock boot in order to install the stock IC.

Because I want to be clear on what was done to install the ER IC as I, too, want to return back to stock when I sell my 335i.

I had full kit (ER charge pipe included) so they didn't do anything to my stock pipe. Again, please contact ER to verify if you need to do anything if installing FMIC to stock CP.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I was referring to the Intercooler Charge Pipe on the right side of the engine:

The stock rubber boot must be removed in order to fit the silicon boots provided by the ER kit. The band clamp is not designed to be removed nor does BMW sell the boot separately. This is not a question for ER, but apparently you did not do any of the install or replacement yourself so I understand why you may not know the answer, but the installer would have given you the original rubber boot if they salvaged it off your charge pipe, which you would have had to provide back to the installer when you had the stock IC reinstalled; otherwise, the installer would have had to source a used replacement or actually bought a whole new stock charge pipe (~$320 at e-tailers) just to get the boot.

Ah that pipe. Yes, ER had to break that one time use clamp to get that hose off. I just gave that hose back together with stock IC for them to re-install.
I assume that they re-attached it using adjustable clamp.

Portion of Lower radiator shrouding needs to be removed in order to fit bigger intercooler (see pics below).
It's something that you don't even see when bumper and rock guard goes in.
