Comments and Photos from DC Auto Show
Today I finally made it to the show, place was packed being a Friday afternoon and freezing temperatures in DC. The Z06 looks amazing, but its just too big for my taste and that was the car I had on my radar for track use next year but I am sure once I test drive it I will be hooked. Now to BMW, mainly M3/M4. This is my first time seeing them in person and WOW what a huge difference from pictures and videos... they just don't do them any justice what so ever and in person they are gorgeous (I am all for the M3 but the M4 won my heart as well) I ll start with my M4 Review:
The car is wide, freaking wide and looks aggressive in person. I was really impressed with the lines on the car the YB color actually looked ok in person (not my color). The interior: The SS is beautiful and the leather it self was amazing in person and to touch and sit in. The seats in the M4/M3 are just freaking amazingly comfortable, I am 6" 1 and 200 pounds and felt at ease in the seats both driver and passenger side. The M4 rear seats... different story, I felt crammed and didn't feel comfortable but then again I feel that way with all coups even the current e92x. M3: This is my car, I love it and love how aggressive this sedan looks. Don't get me wrong, M4 almost changed my mind but its not practical for my life style so I have to pass on the M4. Interior: The black leather is beautiful, the stiching was almost beige but it gives the look of a luxury (sexy lol) look so the black interior might be my choice (I have only changed my mind 20 times so far). The tech in both cars looks great and impressive, very much updated over the e90 m or n55/n54. The seats in both cars look very sleek and comfortable but the M3 wins the space award in the back seat. My GF (in the picture is 5'6 and was very comfortable and I am 6'1 and I took a picture of sitting back there comfortably. M3 Exterior: The Silver Stone is nice, not my choice but I think with the carbon fiber roof it will look good. The rear of the M3 sits pretty low, lower than the M4 and not sure why but the front still has a descent gap like the M4 and a drop is in order to make the look complete. Love the rear panels on the M3, flared out and looks aggressive and with an aggressive offset wheel it will look even better. Everyone that I saw sitting and looking at the M3/M4 were impressed and it was a hot topic. I did my best with pictures as there were lots of people in and around the cars and did not want to ruin their experience. I am sure I missed a lot, ask away and I will reply. I'm 6' 2"...do you feel there will be ample space while wearing a helmet? In my E92 I had to lower the back rest to avoid hitting the headliner. It was a bit annoying but I got used to it.

Just my opinion brother, it looked kind of edgy to me and big. The lines are just sloppy and sharp, you have to see in person to understand what I am saying. I am still thinking of buying it next year for my track use only since the M3 will be used as DD.

Thanks Real Deal. You and I seem to share a similar sentiment, so your review of the M3 does bolster how I already feel about the car.

Well the pics/or the links to the pics are now up... Sorry it took long, I had a hard time resizing them so this is the best I could do. If you get a chance too go to a show, do it and I will bet you that you will love the cars in person even more.

The Audi s3 looked great, the cla amg looked ok. The E63 amg looked awesome but not my cup of tea. Beige interior of the 7 series looked like shit, I am sure the M will be different but that was the worse interior so far I have seen. Last edited by Real Deal; 01-24-2014 at 07:46 PM.. |

You should put those links inside [img][ /img] tag so that we dont have to click pictures individually to look at them.
