Does the wee metal M Sport foot rest thing in this pic come as standard.

According to the online configuration it does. Don't recall seeing this in the demo I tried.

Its black plastic. I have a screen grab from my configuration back in Oct 2013 that also shows a silver foot rest like your picture, and another that shows it as black. Odd!

It's already at the dealers mate. Came last week but want the 14 plate and driving 150 miles per day for the next month or so, so makes sense to wait until 1st March.

It's one of the M Performance accessories. I wanted one until I saw the price of them. They also do as a set for the other pedals (manual & auto versions) but the foot rest is a stand alone item and not in the kits. From memory for the auto including the foot rest pictured here it's about £200 I think. They are just slithers of aluminium (?) that fit over the existing pedals (minus rubbers). Some DIY drilling the pedals is involved but nothing too serious.

Pedals in the car are bog standard black like a 1983 Mk2 Ford Escort.

I was going to go for these until BMW told me the foot rest is not available in RHD...when I seen them in real life I didn't care for them and decided to get the aftermarket ones, unfortunately I couldn't get aluminium ones without a logo and settle for the AC Shnitzer ones, very very good quality rubber OEM standard I would say, no drilling just slipped on.
The foot rest was a bit more difficult, I bought a cheapo one and modified it to suit.



Not got a pic of the metal foot hing that I fannied up but will get some.


For £52 well worth it, I have asked the seller if he manages to get them with no logo to let me know, I would rather have no logo at all...but the M thing has been done to death.
