Wheel option question

Idk if this has already been answered before but will we be able to pick the M3 wheel for our M4 orders?

After looking some more at a few pictures and videos I'm not really feeling the 2 tone black/gun metal from the M4 wheels and would rather have the M3 wheels.

You will have the option. At the worst case, paint them.

the options that we know of now are silver 19", black/silver 19", and a 18" wheel which I believe to this point nobody has seen yet?

Can anyone confirm if these are the black 2vz wheels for the M3? They are described as jet black.

They are the 19" 2VZ wheels for either the 4 or 3, just the inner part is black or ferric grey if you go with the other colour option.

I was at the Montreal auto show yesterday, the black wheels look great in real life. I was not too keen on them either from the pictures and was set on the silver/gray ones. After seeing them for real, I decided to order my M4 with the black ones.

I had two tone Morr Signature Black VS8's on my 550 for a while and absolutely loved the look. Will likely go with these black wheels too.

Thanks for this info, quite like the look of them in the pics anyway - have just changed my order to include these wheels.

I'm actually trying to get the 640i grande coupe wheels. I like the meaner transformer look they have. If That's not an option, then I'll be getting the black 19" ones. They're a bit less aggressive but still nice.

Am I the only one still a bit confused by how different the black 437M wheels above look from the pictures at the bottom of southlight's post here:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=936228

?

I realize the latter is a CGI, but I've seen other real-life pics that look similar to that CGI where the face of the wheel looks much darker than the live shot above which looks like a bright silver color. I suppose its just lighting, but it is a surprising difference in appearance between the two.

I hate all 3 wheel options so since I can't buy a car on cinder blocks, I guess it will have to be the 18" setup so I can ditch them the minute I get home.

BMW really needs a better selection of wheels. Their designers are great on other things but when it comes to wheels they need to look to Nissan or Mercedes for help.

btw, has anyone obtained the offsets of these ugly wheels yet?

I was wondering that as well. I am ordering SO exterior and they may look good with the black/grey wheels, but I will see them in Detroit Saturday morning bright and early.

The lighting takes the shine out of the grey section. I like how they look in South's post. I really need to see them in person to truly make up my mind.

Someone posted a review of the black rims they saw in person and confirmed that the pictures are a bit deceiving. The spokes are actually a darker gun metal color. Must be the lighting that throws it off. In the UK visualizer they look all black as well.

In this pic here the wheels look completely black as well. I like the two tone contrast of the wheels at the Motor Show. Can anyone who has seen them please clarify what they actually look like!? Can't imagine the show lights can make that much of a difference. On the pic above the center of the wheel is black and the spokes look dark silver and the rim around the alloy near the tyre is also silver- pic below is a totally different wheel surely?

I think the rims in that pic are blacked out differently for camo purposes. You can see that model in particular has holes all over where they previously had camo covering the car.
