BMWCCA discount for 2 series

Any idea if there will be a discount for BMWCCA members?

I would think $500, same as the 1 series.

Mega: BMWCCA - the BMW Car Club of America - check them out here: www.bmwcca.org

OP: As the 1 and 3 series are both $500, betting the 2 series would be the same as well. Not sure how long before they include it though.

I sent an email and they said

"The only vehicles included at this point are the vehicles on the form. Once you have taken delivery – please always check back for any updates as the program can change at any time."

Is this basically an additional $500 incentive above and beyond all negotiated prices and other incentives/rebates? Would be worth the price to join just for that.

EDIT: Ah damn you have to have been a member for a year. Meh.

Yeah, it's totally worth the $48 a year to save $500 on a 1,2,3, or 4 Series, or X1, or X3, $1000 on a 5 or 6 Series, or an X5, and $1500 on a 7 Series. And this is after all other incentives/rebates.

damn it if they had kept the 1 series designation you could use the discount already like with the 3 new series

I think it was ~60 days (not exactly sure) after initial deliveries for the 4 series to be added to the rebate program.

I'm sure they'll update the form once the 2 gets released. They had a good amount of backlash when the 1 series wasn't covered at first, and I'm sure both the CCA and BMWUSA don't want that kind of bad taste again.

It's a good thing to be a member, even if you don't own a BMW like me. I saved about $150 at a local shop last year that gives a 10% discount to members, not to mention the other discounts you can get. And for a marque-specific rag, the Roundel is very good. Then there are HPDE events, autoxes, etc..... It's worth the small fee, and as has been mentioned, if you already had signed up, $500 discount on a new 2 (assumption) would pay for a lot of years of membership.

Ya I've been a member for 4 or 5 years already....and the mag is actually pretty good.

I checked the Roundel from last year and I think the 4 series started at 9/30/2013.... as they always put the discount program on the magazine

Hopefully they will have the 2 series soon

One thing to remember--when they DO include the 2er, you have to have been a member for a full year PRIOR to the date you purchased or leased your new car.

Otherwise, you don't get the "discount". It really is a misnomer--they send you a check for $500. Or at least they did for my last E82.

Stupidly, I let my membership lapse over the summer, so won't apply to my M235 when it gets here in March.

If you purchase a car that is not listed for example the 2 series but then they do list it. Can I claim the rebate? Is there a certain amount of time you get from purchase date to claim the rebate?

I emailed BMW NA about when the 2er will be included in the discount, and am waiting to hear back from them. They did also confirm it was 60 days after taking delivery as being the limit to getting the discount.

What i don't know is that let say you take delivery March 1st, they add the 2er to the list in April 1st, can you claim it till May 1st... or does the car need to be on the list at the time of taking delivery

No as long as you make the claim within 60 days of taking delivery you are good.

Cool thanks JB...

Wonder if BMWCCA has predefined time frames to make updates to the form like every quarter, etc or if they do it anytime.... last form is from Jan 2014

I emailed the CCA. They said BMW NA makes the decision as to when to update the forms for new models.

I emailed BMW NA and they said they are looking into it for me.
