Replacing CIC do I need a new FSC?

Hello everyone I am replacing my CIC as my navigation won't load and it just keeps resetting. My question is do I need a new FSC? If so will a dealer do this or should I just figure it out myself and is there a guide someone can point me to? I have a 09 335 with navigation and am just replacing the CIC With one from another car. Thanks for the help'!!

So I need an emulator or can I pay for a fsc code from bmw? I'd rather not install an emulator if I don't need to.

OEM FSC Codes for car VIN for Nav and Voice = around $1500.

Emulator = $79.

Are you sure?

Thank God for people who find a way around this bullshit. I try to restrain my language here but something about BMW implementing DRM makes me seethe. This is probably the reason I won't be buying an F series anytime soon , just too much of a PITA to code with all the restrictions on new versions of esys and finding/generating tokens.
