2014 F30 330d M Sport Xdrive

Evening all!

After ordering my new car in November, with many sleepless nights I finally got the keys on Friday.

Arrived at JKC's to new car preparation area as the weather was terrible and they wanted me to view the car in its immaculate state.

We left 2 hours later after having a full run through of all the cars features from the "Bmw Genius", Stephen who really knows his stuff when it comes to the technology side of things, signed a documents and we were good to go.

I must say JKC's couldn't have been more helpful, the whole team really made the experience special.

As for the car, well what can I say. It is fantastic, its one of the few cars I have owned which I like from every angle. The balance, between power, performance and economy is perfect.

Anyway, enough slabber.

Terrible weather here for picture but hopefully you get the idea.

Excellent mate. I really like the aero kit on Alpine White.

Enjoy the new car.

Mate that is a total beaut! I was going to go for full performance kit but just don't think it looks as well in EBII so I only went for the spoiler and rear diffuser! White is perfect for the kit, congrats! PS weather on north coast was terrible so fair play to you for getting a good pic!

Very nice! I'm a fellow M Perf Kit on AW! Havn't seen many others on here (apart from US site). Obviously you got yours fitted as soon as the car arrived, I had to wait a month due to a "back log" so I had extra pain waiting firstly for the car, then the kit to show up.

Yours looks great though, look forward to some more pictures

Thanks for the comments guys.

Spec wise I resisted a lot of temptation and added only the essentials and bits that kept the GFV high, Sport +, HK, PDC Front & Rear, adaptive headlights..etc.

Andy - Im sure you are excited, the EBII looks stunning. For me it was always going to be AW regardless of model. Weather was awful but managed to get a few dry hours in Donegal.

d4Springer - It was your car which made me order the kit as per our previous email, yours is stunning. I had the kit before I had the car, had it ready for fitting when I got the car home - i'm a bit of a control freak like that.

Thanks pmheadwired.

Looks fantastic. Seems JKC are doing well with the 330s at the minute. Ordered mine on Saturday.
Can I ask if you went for the adaptive suspension on the xdrive. I ordered a 330d xdrive touring but didn't add adaptive. Thinking of adding it in while I still can.

DrSteve (yet another N Ireland man :-)) just to jump in on your comment I added adaptive to my spec last minute. If you do a search on the forum there is a great thread with the for and against....I went for! Good luck with your order, I take it your a JKC man?

Yep. Ordered from JKC, new customer though, have been an Audi man up till now. I've been reading up on the adaptive and had a run in Andrew's 435 xdrive with adaptive. Probably needed a longer test on some bends to really feel the benefit. Think I'll probably call them tomorrow to discuss.

F30 m sport. The car looks stunning. Health to drive. I picked up my f30 335d from JKC on Saturday and met DrSteve while I was there. Pity it was such a miserable weekend.
DrSteve I would recoomend the adaptive suspension. When you select sport from comfort, you feel the steering weight up, the throttle response improves and the suspension tightens. Its an awesome sensation. I am driving easy but just switched a couple of times today to feel the response. I love it.

Steve - I didn't go for the adaptive suspension, I need to leave some options to tick next time .

Thanks Proftinkerpot, I saw both your cars just after they came off the transport, only one thing better than getting one new car it is getting two, enjoy them.

Congrats Sam, the car looks great. Plenty of fun washing her now to keep her looking good in the winter. Once the cleaner roads come she will look superb for sure.

DrSteve the strength of opinion seems to be to go for adaptive with Xdrive as otherwise it can be a bit floaty. I had specced it when I was enquiring about a 335d. Sure its only another few quid :-)

Thanks David. I'm very happy with it, I love getting up in the morning and staring at it for 2-3minutes. I have washed it 4 times over the weekend, had planned to give it a proper clean but the weather was shocking.

The 335d may benefit from the adaptive suspension due to the extra power but I have never had any concerns regarding the suspension in the time that I have had the car. I drove 300miles at the weekend, mixture of motorways and real twisty bits through Donegal and it handled beautifully. Smoothing out uneven surfaces and humps and bumps.

Same here. I don't have adaptive suspension and the car seems to handles really well in all situations (certainly better than I expected). I was following my mate recently in his 420bhp Evo along a twisty b-road and he couldn't shake me off!

I suppose it all depends on the driver and the user preference. My main concern suspension wise was the ride height being higher in the Xdrive but I'm glad it is that bit higher, especially with the performance kit.

Just added adaptive suspension to the order. I knew I shouldn't have joined another motor forum. Less than a week and I'm already spending money. I just hope there isn't a group buy section!!

Lovely motor, looks stunning in white and kind of steals the show from that sunset...
Enjoy!

So far the spec is...
330D xDrive Msport touring Estoril blue
Vis pack
Msport+
Heated seats front
Adaptive suspension
Service pack
Black kidney grills

That's hopefully all I will need. Already stupidly over budget!
