335d Engine Note

Notice the transmission completely skips 4th gear on the kickdown from 5th to 3rd. Doesn't even entertain it! Such a friggin' good transmission - love my Sport Auto!!
I did manage to capture some good sound from my E90 LCI 330d in this video below. Naturally, the N57 is a little more refined in the F30 now but I think there is a happy medium between my video and that video in the real thing. Love these big diesels and though I'm enjoying my petrol, I can't wait to get back into a torque monster . I also had the 6MT in my E90 which was just an absolute joy with that engine, I can't even tell you how good it was. SO GLAD I didn't go for the 6spd Slushmatic.

Hard to tell definitively from the video but I'd say it sounds better than the 330d. Same tone, but more resonant. Man I wish they'd done this car in sdrive. I'd have bought it no question.
