Question Lease car delivery delayed! Anyone else?

So i have just been told by the company i'm to lease my F30 from (Tilsun) that instead of estimated delivery being late Jan/early Feb, it's now being estimated as mid/late Feb!

Also he told me that they are hoping for this date to improve but it's hard to tell because quote 'BMW are very vague' which i find hard to believe as so many on here get updates at every stage of the build/delivery!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Are the estimated delivery times from lease companies accurate? i.e. Was yours delivered before or after the original estimated date?

Does anyone know how fast BMW are currently building 330d's?

Mine isn't a lease car but delivery slipped back by 2-3 weeks around a month before it was due, then arrived pretty much on the original schedule.

I wouldn't get too stressed.

From my experience I would say that "BMW are extremely vague"...
My car was built end of October but for some reason it didn't arrive until the end of December???
To this day they still haven't told me why!
Good luck

Well Tilsun rang today to tell me the estimated delivery date is now March 21st! FFS!

Mind you if it is March it means i'll get it on a 14 plate, so every cloud and all that!

Similar story for me... originally quoted end of December, then it was built before mid November, and looked like it may arrive in Early December... then it seemed to go nowhere for a month. Eventually got it at the end of December as originally quoted!

Except my build just keeps going backwards!

Hopefully i'll get a big leap forwards then, because i'm going out of my mind waiting for this car!

So is yours PCP or PCH? And was it ordered direct from dealer?

It is PCP and directly from dealer. Initialy the salesman said the car should be jan/feb which I doubted but official documents said: expected delivery 28th of Feb, so the 10th of March does not look so bad.

I placed an order for a 330 yesterday which has a build slot for next week sometime (aparently) and the estimated delivery is Week 10 (First week in March).

Orders direct from dealer are a lot quicker.

Gareth at Tilsun has told me that mine's also taking longer because it was a mega deal, which they achieved by BMW building the cars as and when they can fit them in.

So ultimately i would rather be waiting longer than paying a lot more.

That sound strange as mine is scheduled for production the week starting 7/02 for March delivery, so it looks łike yours is either longer production or longer delivery time

I watched the sales guy putting the order through and it looked like there were slots already assigned for model builds ie 318, 320, 330.

The salesman had two slots available for 330's one of which I got. Hence the pressure to confirm my final configuration before next week.

Still debating

Ah so they already had build slots, then when someone comes in wanting to buy one they just amend the options on one of the already ordered ones, which makes things much quicker.

I guess with my lease the build slot is not requested until i actually ordered the car, plus they probably waited 2 weeks for the cooling off period to end!

My build slots were requested when the finance was cleared and I signed the order documents, so I believe there was some delay

I ordered my 330d on the 9th of December from the dealer. I've presently got build week 5 for a 14 plate March the first target.

I have checked my documents- I ordered my car on the 6th of Dec but it was about a week before they confirmed the finance and put my order to BMW slot. So it looks about the same...
