beaten unfairly
i was just minding my own business and not racing anyone. I was just zig zagging between cars to get ahead. Then I saw this C350 4Matic coupe in the right lane while i was in the left both stopped at the stop light. I didnt even think of racing with him but he thought I wanted to race cause he saw my zig zagging in his rearview mirror. So when the light turned green he floored it while I was just giving gas normally. Then i saw him get ahead so i floored it to but didnt catch up until he let off the gas at 100KM or 60MPH. I think i didnt catch up because his car is 4matic while mine is RWD. My traction control just killed all the power when i rev up to 5k RPM. I was also on lm60 while he was on all seasons.
the mercedes driver was in like his 45-50 age. I am only 20. just sharing my story short story the person driving a C350 4matic coupe all season tires i am driving 335i rwd winter tires traction control killed my power he cheated also my car ran over dog poop its was fucking disgusting. some dipshit dog owner left poop on the road that is infront of my driveway. poop wasnt the hard kind it was brown greenish and mushy Last edited by Dan_335i; 01-09-2014 at 05:41 PM.. |

FYI - as this is more just a grammar thing ... "beated" isn't a word (in your subject line). Its "Beat Unfairly".. not "Beated".

I've done this mistake a few times when I was your age or younger.. In a light-to-light race it is almost guaranteed that whoever gets the first/right launch wins, unless there was a substantial difference in power. I wouldn't blame the tires, AWD, or traction control. He stepped on the gas first that's why you lost

"Beaten unfairly...."
X5s/ 5 series and up have an auto hold button. So at a light, all you need to do is press the brakes to stop, the car stops and then you put your foot on the accelerator leaving the brakes unattended. So when the light turns green you just floor it and you are off. By the time most are removing foot from brake to accelerator, the X5/5 series and up guys are probably doing 20mph This feature should be on all BMWs

A C350 4matic will hit 60 in about the same time as a 328xi (mid to high 5's). You drive a 335i. He full throttled from the start (did not cheat). You did not (got slightly embarrased). Still, it's better than getting caught and having your license suspended.

I used to own a C350 and would like to point out that the 335 is a beast compared to the Merc! So for sure the guy in the Merc got a better start that's why he got ahead. If both had the same start off the line no way he would have pulled clear.

The Mexican I had for lunch isn't agreeing with me. I didn't plan to have Mexican, someone else suggested it. If I knew I was going to have Mexican I could have been better prepared.

I think the point he's making is that we can all share stories of every little encounter we had throughout our day that really has no meaning or relevance (which is what the OP did when he started this post).
He's my turn: I was driving to work... was driving a bit aggressively. A moving truck was beside me at the light (I was texting at the time w/ my head down). He floored it, and I didn't realize it for a few seconds. I tried to catch up to him, but it was too late by teh time we got to the next light. The moving truck was a 5.0L diesel i think (1990's production maaybe). I think he had mud and snow tires on... but I think the driver was trying to race me. The above has no relevance??? lol

We had a fire alarm go off today, wasn't sure if it was a drill or real. Spent about 30 seconds debating and decided it was time to evacuate. It was cold as hell outside, probably 5 degrees, maybe 0 with wind chill. I sat in a co-workers fusion while we waited, it never warmed up. Afterwards, ended up talking to another guy who thought my down coat was puffy. Explained how awesome 850 down fill is.
The creepy thing is I still don't know if it was a drill or real... |

I am perfectly happy having slower cars thinking they beat me when I wasn't actually racing.
I have been in the E36/7, completely off boost, shifting at 4k(which is still loud) and people assume I am racing and are redlining their 200-300hp cars and feel accomplished if they pull ahead of me. Does not bother me one bit. Why? Because I KNOW I have the faster car. In your situation, I KNOW you have the faster car than a C350.
