Using IDrive settings with engine off

Is there any way to get into settings when the beast is off?

Also is there a way to use a Bluetooth paired phone with the car off? I've looked around for answers and can't find any.

just hit the ignition button without turning it on and use the screen and you can mess with it the settings will show
