Anyone had issues with complete hood protective film?

In about two weeks, I'm scheduled to get a clear bra on the front end (bumper cover), front fenders, headlights, mirrors, and small areas behind the rear wheels. What is in question is my hood. I have among the best, if not the very best installer in Houston-doing this. Installation is not my concern, heat is. I have a friend who had his entire Bentley hood done, and says his has had some distortion/issues with heat. I'm trying to decide if I do the entire hood, which the installer is presently planning to do, or just the front of the hood. Venture shield is the product/brand. Any input/experience? Thanks.

You have to make sure you get a good film. I used Stealth approved Suntek PPF-C on the M5 but used Xpel Ultimate on our Cayenne full hood. Xpel yellowed sliglty after a year or so.

I think the yellowing on this grade of film may be caused by what product you may be using to clean it. Avoid anything with naphtha or kerosene.

xpel ultimate is what we are using out here in NY/NJ/CT, I have heard some good things about Suntek, most are moving away from Venture.

I can't see why it would make a difference if you are covering the entire hood or just a portion. Covering the the hood isn't going to increase the heat retention. If heat is an issue with the film on the hood, I suspect it would be an issue either way.

I have the whole front end from the windscreen forward covered now for 18 months in Xpel Ultimate. No issues at all. Highly recommended.

I decided to do only 1/4 hood/fenders all the front end and mirrors. No problems so far. 10months Expel Ultimate also.
