Steering wheel issue with f30 335i.
I just picked up my 335 up last week and the first thing i noticed was that the silver trim on the steering wheel makes this noise when I lightly press on it and My OCD isn't helping much either. Are all 335s like this or is it something that i can fix? other than this problem I love the car!!!!!!! even though it's my second car i think this car is going to be one of the best cars i've ever driven/owned in the future.

Don't press it, problem solved.
No really, there is no button, no grip point there, purely for decoration. So as long as it doesn't shake or rattle when driving, don't touch it and don't obsess about it.

Yup they are all like that. I am assuming you have the M wheel right?
That's just polycarbonate for you. I'm just as OCD as you are, if not more. I pressed that area before and was like "dafuq, that's cheap". If you want to be OCD, go check your instrument cluster and the climate screen, I guarantee it's scratched already from dealership when a sun shines on it. Also, try pressing down on the centre aluminum piece that wraps your 2 centre ventilations, it will creak as well. I can list more easily haha. Don't worry, after a few months when your honeymoon is over, you won't care about any of that. Enjoy your car! dL |
