Need opinions on brand and color temp of H11 fogs

Mind you I haven't had the most impressive track record with these H11 bulbs, so I'll send these past you guys. They say "6500k xenon 12V 55W H11s", and they seem perfect to go with my Philips Ultinon 6000K D1S headlights. Has anyone had any experience with these?

Thanks so much.

I have not but if they're halogen, which they appear to be they will still be yellowish. Only way to get true white is HID. You will reduce your light output but you will get the "look" I assume you're going for. That's what I did. If you want functionality as well then the halogens are better. I never use my fogs for actual fog, only for looks. Lol

Yea, exactly DeMerris! I was shooting for function about a month or so back, and as such, I have been running PIAA 2500K yellows and found them to be rather useless in the halogen form for any inclement weather.

Now, I think I'm going back with looks, like you, and shooting for the amount of visible like reflected back at me, which should be better at 6500k I would think without going obnoxious blue like around 8000k. Of course, I still have me OEM Osram bulbs that are around 4000k which I MIGHT pop in as well and cancel these...decisions decisions!

I have hid fogs and they have a lot more light output then any halogen. 3k is perfect.

More and more I'm thinking of just popping the OEMs back in and selling my 2500k PIAA set. Without an actual HID ballast modification, the brightness for any inclement weather just doesn't seem to be there for me.

I went with 6000k. Matched my low beams perfectly.

Oh wow... that's perfect dude- where did you get those, what brand, and how much? I'm currently running Phillips Ultinon 6000K D1S for headlights so these would be perfect...

You need a kit with the ballasts and built in error cancelers and additional error cancelers. Or you can just have the error coded out.

Ahhh ok. Got it. Thanks for sharing that! I think I'll stay plug-and-play at least until I'm out of warranty

I got them off ebay. Can't remember the brand but they were like $70 with the error cancelers for each side. You can find them as low as $35 and well over $100. I try to stay somewhere in the middle when I buy my parts. Absolutely no issues and it's been like 8 months I think. They were 1 of the 1st mods I did, like with all of my previous cars.
