▀▄ eas | F30 dyno day interest - Sat. Feb 22nd (new date!)

So a lot of you in SoCal have expressed interest in putting your car on the dyno.

If you are running stock this is a great time to get a baseline or just to know what your ride is putting out from the factory. You'd be surprised how much it varies. This is also a great time to see how effective the mods you have installed are and what you might need next. EAS also stocks many of the parts for our F30s and oftentimes they do installs on dyno days if they are something simple. Just hit up Kevin@EAS or Robert@EAS on here for parts inquiries.

The plan is to set this far enough in advance so that you can get parts ordered and/or installed prior if need be. We'd like to get at least 20 cars to dyno. We'll invite the ///M guys out as well and obviously any cars are welcome.

Date is set for Sat. Feb 22nd Post up if you can make it. It will be $75 for 3 runs.

Please copy/paste the list and add yourself to the list of attendees:
Hope to see you all there!

We use a Dynojet 224xLC chassis dyno.

Quote:
The highly versatile Dynojet Model 224xLC is the perfect choice for tuning your BMW. Based on the 224x dyno, the 224xLC offers the simplicity and ease of use of an “inertia only dyno”, along with advanced testing capabilities of a Eddy Current load style dyno. Perform A-to-B comparison tests to quantify gains from various performance products, or enable the load control feature to perform step, sweep, or road load simulations, being much more effecting than street tuning.

Past Dyno Sessions

When performing loaded testing, the Eddy Current Load Absorption Unit option utilizes an integrated Torque Cell to quantify power absorption in an ultra precise and consistent manner. The eddy current unit attaches to the roller drum by way of a splined shaft, for the utmost in reliability, consistency and repeatability.

Let's get more people to run, perfect temps to get good numbers too! Any of you SD peeps willing to drive up? OC isn't too bad of a distance.

Presario is posting on E90post and we'll be putting this up on the ///M boards.

I think she has an ARK Performance one on her 328i.

In other news, we really need to get more people if this is going to happen. At least 20 people. Lets do it!

bump, bump, bump

We need to get a minimum of 20 people to confirm dyno to schedule the date with EAS. I haven't updated the list from other forums yet but we still need a decent number down. It'll be a good time and a great reason to dyno whether for baseline or to see if you investment paid off.

Let's do this!

Guys, doesn't look like there's enough cars signed up to host this weekend, but how about combining it with a coding event to get the best of both worlds?

http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=15321479

I've spoken to a few manufactures and they would also love to participate as well on the dyno side.

Saturday Feb 8th would be the proposed date.

I like the idea, but I can't make it out there on that weekend, or the following one either.
