E90 Pre-lci Xenon Headlights Opened and Painted!

I opened up my xenons and painted my amber corners black and also took out the chrome piece next to the turn signal. I couldn't bring myself to paint the other chrome pieces and I still love the way it looks just without the orange. I also opted to keep the stock angel eye rings because I don't mind the brightness.

This task was pretty difficult but not impossible. You just have to take your time, make sure the halos are disconnected, and use enough sealant. I did mine over my christmas break so I could take my time. I took about 2 days (with lots of breaks) to do the first headlight and the second one went a lot smoother.

I went to the car wash and sprayed the car with the washer and it stayed sealed up just like oem. I used OCI Butyl Glue from theretrofitsource.com. Time will tell if it holds up.

PS: I plan on painting the hood and getting coilovers.

Thanks! I was skeptical at first but after the first headlight its a little easier. Probably would have been better if I had an extra headlight to practice on.
