BMW M Style Shift Knob
Hello,
I've been wanting to replace my stock shift knob on my e92 335i for quite a while now. I am interested in the BMW M Style ZHP 6spd knob. On Tischer or www.getbmwparts.com, the part # is 25117896031. I call up my local BMW dealer and they say that it isn't available for my car because:
Is there a different part # for the 6speed version and can someone confirm that it does indeed fit? Thanks, Andrew |

It will fit, because I just put it on last week. Have fun pulling the stock sport knob off. |

This is just heads up. Your face is not the only to watch out. I managed to drop down my rear view mirror. I was really careful not to hit my face, but when the knob came off i managed to stop my hands before my face, but back of my head hit directly to rear view mirror. It was hanging off the wire. Took me awhile to figure out how it goes back in it place.

I found it easier to do it from the backseat. More leverage.
Good luck.

I was about to order OPS mentioned part number. Good thing I looked here first. So e90mark, the part number you gave was the exact zhp short knob but for the 6 speed? Thanks

Just installed the new shift knob and it looks amazing! Can't wait to take the car out for a drive and see how it feels.
A few notes to address:

I don't think you have secured the knob. Mine sits flush with the boot. It also takes the same amount of force to remove as the stock knob. Give it a good smack dead center so that it can sit right.

Tried to bang it in a little bit more this time and definitely felt it snap right in. Now it's sitting flush with the boot and everything is great! Lovin' the new knob!

It supposed to snap on. If u look inside the knob, theres a parallel line that's supposed to match with the shifter. I heard mine snapped. Just installed it last night. I opened my sunroof with my head sticking out. Lol. And sat on center console and yanked it. I loved the feel of the knob and how low it is.
