I believe it can be done through coding. I have a E92 and the halos dim when the headlights are on and brighten when they are off so that the can function as DRLs. I believe it's done by raising and lowering the voltage. In your case you would have to have it coded.
BTW, I might be wrong but I are you sure you have halos? I owned a 07 328 E90 and there is really very little difference between the 07-08. The 07s and 08s did not have halos, I think that didn't come out on the E90 328s till 09 or 10. I take it the previous owner did a headlight swap. |

the E90 pre-lci angel eyes are already at full voltage so that wont make a difference. The stock bulb is very limited and theres not much you can do for those
