The F8x M3/M4 will be held to light against the E30 M3
This car is everything BMW M was originally. Lightweight, high performance, a driver's car. While I may be getting a bit ahead of myself, I would wager that BMW M will not disappoint us in making this a serious driver's car.
What blows my mind even more is how the new M3/M4 are basically supercars now. Lightweight CF all over, great suspension setup, dual clutch option, high output small displacement engine, and even the option of carbon ceramic brakes! I really can't wait to see what Nurburgring times will be had in this. I suspect massively better performance with the dramatic weight loss, higher power and torque, as well as the massive new brakes. |

Misperception augmented by bogus BMW Marketing Claims. The CF in this car is limited to:
-Roof -Roof beam -Driveshaft -Trunk lid -(maybe the front strut brace but that's probably an paid option) -The brakes are a very expensive paid option advised against by anyone who tracks their car. There is zero carbon fiber monocoque here completely nulling any BMW Marketing comparisons to the i3 or i8.

personally i'm loving the 176lbs weight reduction and increased torque. wrapped in that exterior the car is very desirable to me.
