You have one for your F30 330d?

please give us a review of it or a link to thread if you already have.

I have looked at these lots but thought they aren't great or can put the car into limp mode. Plus the price difference is really big to the likes of Hartage does that mean the product is not good?

That's kind of what I thought. Does it have different settings you have to 'try' the car on or are they actually set up for each engine?

Would be interested as well to hear what you think of it. To be honest at £400, I'm willing to take a punt.

Haha if you think 400 is cheap, there is a promo code dtuk50 for a extra 50 quid off.

I once bought a tunit for my 123d. Not good it gave such great power put car into limp mode and stop it reving so high. I put it back for a refund. I think some of these things are sold and not even tryed on the car with that engine. But it is tempting, surely if people had these fitted and were good they would have been on raving about how good it was?

Agreed which is why I await Doomsday Runner's opinion on his box for his 330d

I was hoping for slightly better gains than this. Isn't the 335 engine the same as the X6 40d? Is that power not achievable? Sorry if I'm talking nonsense here!

Going from his other posts, he has an e92 330d LCI manual, but has ordered an F30 335d.

I'd be interested in hearing more, also. Not just performance boost, but how it would impact warranty, insurance, finance.. That sort of thing..

DaveA, you will loose your BMW warranty and you'll need to advise the insurer.

£395 isn't RRP.

I too had a Tunit on my old X Type, that also put it into limp mode all the time. I have had the DTUK unit on my e93 330d (LCI 245) since new (Nov 2011) I have now done 80,000 miles in the car since then with no issues what so ever.

I wont be risking these type of boxes. Had one in the past and contributed towards blowing up the fuel pump! Car kept going into limp home mode and cutting out.

But is probably OK with other cars.

Also be careful with regards your warranty.

My car is fast enough for me. Tuning it in which ever way you choose won't get me fom A to B any more quickly. I am being most sensible.

Is it just DTUK you bash, or is it boxes in general?

Personally boxes in general.

If you want to go faster you're better of spending some money on one on one driving tuition. Or, if you want to go quicker cross country the f30s limiting factor is its chassis. Or, if you really need to go faster in a straight line only why would you not get BMWs kit and keep your warranty? Or buy the D3 for little more than a loaded 335d and have all of the above!

I remember the last thread regarding these boxes. Went pretty much the same way as this one.

So to cut out some of the bollix above it would be a good idea if gtsussex could have one on trial for a short while and give us all his opinions, on the proviso both parties were willing of course

I'm too goody two shoes for this nonsense. What if you total your car with one of these in situ. I'm pretty sure the insurer would tell you where to get off.

My car is already fast enough, thank you. When it's not on fire.

You'd be screwed...

Similar if your wife is driving the car and it breaks down (or goes into limp mode as it probably will), she won't be able to remove it before calling BMW.

If this is true, then it is disgusting behaviour.

Buried on their website are terms that state handling fees are deducted but I didn't order from their website, I ordered through e90post and was never made aware of this, he just advertised money back guarantee like he has here today.
