M5 or porsche ( help )

Hello gentelmen it's my first post here , after i sold my E63 M6 back in 2011i still can't find a sport car that suits me !! and after many searches and my friends recommendations i'm stuck between 2 beasts from different worlds , LCI M5 f10 and 2012 porsche 997.2 TTS .
i can't make the right choice for many reasons and here some :
- M5 is a four doors fast beast i drove my friend's and didn't feel the ///M driving like the SMG M's beside it's big comparing to the E60 M5 .
- 997.2 tts is such a great car and super fast from 0-60 but the PDK tranny is scary beside the new 991 tts is in markets now
I need help guys i don't want a car that makes me board in the future .
Here's a pics for the cars i found in the market the first one is 2014 SG with SO interior non CP straight from the dealer and the second one is a used ice blue tts with low mileage .

Nobody here can advise you if you want a sedan or a sports car. They're very different and you should know what you want.

I actually built and bought a 2014 M5 without CP a month ago. In my opinion the CP is not well done. I'm in a minority with that view on this board but I stand by my position.

I don't know what other cars you own, but if it's your only car, then I would get M5. If you like to feel the speed more then it may not be the right car since it is pretty insulated. However it is very fast and supremely comfortable and feels like a much more quality product than the 997 in my opinion.

You may also want to look at a used a Panamera Turbo S. Those are very nice. Make sure it has sport exhaust, pasm, PDCC, and Sport Chrono.

Thanks for the feedback stealth right now i drive a GMC sierra for my daily use and bought a 2013 F30 320i for the wife , the reason i stucked between M5 and tts is because i drove both and ownd a 996tt and M6 before , the M5 f10 i drove was 2013 and when i sat inside the 2014 it was different ! Is it me or does the 2014 really changed ?

I just kinds went through this. I picked up an m5 w/ comp pack as my daily driver. I'm looking into a c4s cab as my sports car.

I love the m5 and I picked it over the m6 because it's more practical. Though every time I see a m6 GC I have second thoughts.

Thank you
its wether 911 991 gt3/turbo/turbo s or M5
why would u pick up something outdated that much?

get a used m5 pre-lci or lci
if u like it, u keep it
if u dont like it, u sell it and buy used 991
this way u can enjoy both cars and lose the least amount of $

"based on what you need and seek"

but if i really had to choose between two of them,
i'm sorry guys.
but that 997.2 colour combo is one of a kind.

Exactly that's a reason for staying away from the 2012 TTS , didn't see the 991 GT3 in person yet thank you for the advice

That porsche interior is on red overload. It is screaming for some contrast in the cabin.

Don't get me wrong though, Porsche makes a great product. For example, IMO the build quality and interior of the Panamera is much nicer than the M5.

But, that wasn't enough to convince me to go with a Panamera. Can't get over the looks of the rear end. Don't hate it, but don't like it. The M5 with full leather is plenty nice.

i went from a 997.1 RS to a 2013 M5. i know the 997 TT-S is not the same as an RS but i figured some of the pros and cons would apply to your situation as well.

no regrets at all…. i loved my RS but it just doesnt make sense to keep one unless you plan to go to the track a lot...

M5 Pros:
- sits 5 (may not be important to you)
- big trunk (may not be important to you)
- great engine response that picks up speed very quickly
- is faster than my 997.1 RS on the street
- rides better than my 997.1 RS. the RS is way too harsh for city driving.
- interior is much much nicer than the 997 interiors… (997.1 and .2 interiors look so dated compared to other cars on the market right now)

997.1 RS Pros
- looks like a super car
- handles like a go cart due to the super stiff suspension
- will beat the M5 on the track hands down
- sounds like a proper race car with the exhaust by pass

Thank you sir , thoughts was going for the GT2 but a manual tranny will brake my leg because the traffic is heavy most of the time in Kuwait + the ride is harsh like you mentioned and not comfirtable like the M5.

Driven the Panamera not impressed with lack of performance and IMO the interior is NOT better than the LCI M5's.
And the price of the thing
