335d still not here! - collecting 330d loan car on Sat :)
My 335d was 'production complete' around the 24th October but still hasn't arrived
Apparently there is a problem with the X-Drive system although my dealer can't explain more than that. There might be a parts issue he said Has anyone else had a similar story? Anyway, I negotiated having a loan car for when my old car went back a few weeks ago but it was only a 116d sport. I'm not moaning by any means as it was very nice of them to offer this for free but it's basic, small and more importantly a manual! So, in order to keep me happy for a bit longer they've agreed to give me a 330d m sport saloon until my car arrives My car could arrive in the next week or two or it could be a lot longer so at least I will have a comparable car in the meantime... The biggest pain in the rse is that I was a hoping to have 4 wheel drive and winters on by now. The weather is only getting worse and I need a suitable car for my freelance work. My new 400M winters are waiting patiently in my garage :thumb down I'm hoping the 330d will be a lot better than the 116d???! Wish me luck for delivery of mine...:roll eyes: |

That's unlucky and I hope you get your 335d soon.
I had a 116d yesterday as a loan car and one thing that struck me is it didn't feel that stable at motorway speeds. We'll not compared to my car. I'm sure the 330d they will give you will be loads better. |

Put it's VIN into a decoder and see.
Oh, and although it won't cheer you to hear it, I'm glad I'm not the only 335 owner to be waiting, waiting... (Even if mine is a i variant vs your d and xdrive)

I've got VSS and it doesn't make the steering more responsive particularly. After a certain steering angle the rack just quickens up a bit - but not by a vast amount. I read about people having to "get used to it" . There is nothing really to get used to as it's not a massive difference between normal steering.

I'm also still waiting. Was originally told car in 13th November but still no car and no date on when they'll get it. It's been production complete for a while (Not sure how long). Sucks but nothing to be done but wait some more

This is a week later than I was led to believe a week ago. And two weeks later than I was told to expect a month ago. If that makes sense. Like a lot of people, I'm just trying not to think about it. But I am somewhat miffed.

FFS, I'm worried now. I had an email from the dealer last week that said
"I am pleased to tell you that your car has moved to “scheduled for production week 48”. This doesn’t mean it will come quicker than week 51, but it does mean it won’t be later." The computer has always said week 51, so if I dont get my car for Xmas i wont be happy, especially as i'm having to cope with an Vauxhall Insignia as an interim hire car. [ #firstworldproblems |

I must admit seeing these delays has somewhat knocked my hopes of a week 51 delivery. I only got my VIN this morning. On the dealer system my car has a req delivery date of 18/12 so hopefully that's going to be the case, I don't think I could wait much longer than the weekend after that. Anyone know if these dates are reliable? (please say yes at this point )

We've got two threads that have merged on the "where's my bloody car" topic but I've just posted on t'other one that my dealer suspects the issue is this end i.e. Southampton. He reckons it's at capacity so cars are sat in the factory car park until the entire journey's logistics are clear. Mine's been built for over a fortnight now and still at the factory - status 5055.
