Do any of you modify the exterior of your leased cars?
I am thinking of adding the M Performance read diffuser, front lip, side rocker panels and M Performance side decals above the side rocker panels.
I am thinking I would probably have to remove all of these parts before the lease ends. Have any of you done something similar? |

i've added small things such as M performance grill and M performance shift knob, new rims and tires, so not as in depth as you plan on going. I plan on just taking them all off and putting the stock stuff back on the car and either keeping the parts for the next car when my lease is up or sell them

Exactly! People make such a big deal about it on the forum. I've seen leased cars at EAS with full blown roll cages, superchargers, etc. Just return it to stock when you're finished with it. It's no different than BUYING a car. You still would return it to stock upon trading it in.

The number of abused used cars is very small, but I'm with you.......I buy new. Then again, financing is better on new cars and most of the time the used version is just as expensive, so it's a no-brainer for me.

You can mod it if you want, no penalty for modding you just won't get any value added for any mods. You can always remove additions and re-use or sell your parts

Not entirely true. 90% of the time, all makes will do anywhere from 0.9%-3.9% financing on certified used cars. Yes, certified costs more than a normal used car, but you're also paying for that extended warranty.

In my personal buying experience(s), the incentives were better on the newer car and the newer car's payment was either the same as the used car, cheaper than the used car or not much more expensive than the used car. Either way, I couldn't make a case for the used car when the numbers were put to paper. Your experiences may have varied however. And before it's mentioned, I have top tier credit, so I was offered the best rates that were offered at the time.
