New car tomorrow

Pick up the new car (335d xdrive) tomorrow.

Could have had it a couple of weeks ago but have been on holiday. Not sure if it is the delay in collection but I'm not that excited about it....possibly jet lag dampening my enthusiasm.

Also slightly kicking myself that I bottled it and went for White with red interior......should have held my nerve and gone for EB and red!

Too much negativity on here with regards xdrive, most probably.

I'm sure you will love your new 335d, listen to the people who already own one and re-read their threads.

And to think - you will own pretty much the fastest production diesel saloon car on the planet.

(well in the UK, M550d aside as its not available here).

Strange. I felt exactly the same before I picked up my 335d a couple of weeks ago. All forgotten once I put my foot down and learned some lesser machines though!

White with red will look superb - a much better choice than superman-esque EB and red IMO.

White with red will look great and those first few miles will soon put the smile on your face.

I think in the ideal world, most EB II drivers and including myself would of probably prefered the red interior but bottled it and went for black interior. So it's a matter of deciding if you want a cool interior or exterior.. I wanted the EB, so had to go with black. I still think white and red looks fantastic, had that combo on my previous car. You will enjoy it! And btw the 335d is amazing!

Yep agreed with all the others, white with red is very, very nice indeed.

Hope the sun's out when you pick it up so we can see some good piccies.

Enjoy your day, by all accounts you're in for a treat.

Thanks all,

Picked up the car and will post pictures later, but it looks like any white 3 series with red leather

Options include adaptive suspension, prof nav, heated seats, visibility pack and pack with larger wheels ( M performance pack ?) plus a few other minor options,

It does look good (gap between wheel and body is not that noticeable) and I'm considering adding the performance spoiler and side skirts (both left black). Thoughts?

There is more difference between modes than I remembered and my wife is pleased at how docile the car is......she hadn't driven before.

Performance is great, pulls hard from any speed and the car actually sounds good as well. Will be interesting to see what it's like when loosened up.

Ride is more than acceptable. Comfy and handles ok for what it is.

Will leave for another week or so to run in a bit more then will change to 18" wheels with the winter tyres on.

The 3 series has moved on over the last few generations and is now a good size for the family...boot and rear much better.
