New Here!!!
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to say hey and introduce myself to the forum and members. I've been lurking on here for a short time while I figured out what vehicle to order etc. I currently have a 2011 VW GTI and my lease is coming to an end, although I have to say, the car has been a blast to drive! IMHO, the GTI is the classic hot hatch, and deserves all of the positive recognition it gets year in and year out… I have a 2014 335i M-Sport (Mineral Grey/Coral Red) presently sitting in Brunswick Ga. as it arrived on the Michigan Highway yesterday. Really looking forward to it arriving here in Austin ASAP!!! Also just thought I'd share a bit of humor for your Saturday, hope it's not a repost… http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=c0f_1...131&comments=1 Thanks for all of the great info., look forward to being an active contributor to this forum! |

Oh, didn't realize you are coming from an MK6 GTI. You better not say anything bad about that car! I love mine!!!! It is more fun that my e92 M3 sometimes, i swear. Something about small hot hatches. I love my GTI! Can't wait for the MK7. I'll be first in line to trade in my MK6 for one.
Congrats on the bimmer! It is nice and your color combo is stunning! |

Congrats and welcome! My 428i was on the Michigan Highway too.
Good color combo! I also went with mineral gray and coral red. Hopefully it's gets to Fla soon! |

That's the combo I had on my VW Scirocco back in the day. My second choice after Black/Black or Black/Tan.

That clip is quite funny. It's from a South African radio show. He does pranks everyday.. |

LOL, I'm glad it did. My wife actually sent me that link a couple of weeks ago and remarked that it better not be me one of these days... Thanks, I agree that the color combo will look awesome, can't wait to see it hopefully in the next week. |

You're going to miss the GTI, I know I do!
I'm new here too, about two months ago I sold my 2010 GTI which I had for the last 3.5 years and picked up a 2013 335i X-Drive M-Sport. Was sad to see the GTI go, but I had to get an automatic so the wifey could drive (neither of us had the patience for her to learn manual) You're going to love how smooth and powerful the 335 is, but in my opinion the GTI was more fun to drive and toss around |

Will do JC, just need to take some decent ones to put up!

Also, I too went with the 8AT trans., the GTI was a six-speed manual, can't say that I miss shifting gears much yet, especially in traffic . I think the 8AT is the best of both worlds IMHO. Thanks, glad to be here!

I have to agree - the GTI has that tossable fun factor that sedans just can't quite emulate. Must be a hatchback thing, but everytime I drove a GTI it just felt "right." You feel wrapped in plaid goodness.
