435i owners opinions/reviews

I haven't seen any in-depth reviews (I know it's very early) so just wondering what are people feeling/seeing with this car. My desirable spec is M-sport trim (no m-perf suspension) auto transmission, 19" wheels and HUD.

My test drive is booked this Saturday

There are few reviews because everyone who bought one is too busy driving/staring at it in the garage, rather than being on the forum.jk

Mine I did ED in Munich on, it's currently on a boat in the mid-atlantic. I'm currently salivating. I didn't think waiting this long would be this hard.

However, the 36 hours I spent with her in Germany were amazing. The car is just absolutely everything I wanted/hoped/expected it to be and more.

My favorite options in my short time were...

EBII
M-Sport
Coral Red
19"
this combo gives the car a sexy aggressive look that turns heads.

The transmission and the power plant are a pure joy, and had me cruising 125+ on the autobahn feeling safer than my old car felt at 75 on the 405.

I got the Harman Kardon and it was mind blowing as well.

Regardless, when she comes into my hands permanently, I will take more pictures, take it for a nice drive in Malibu on the Mulholland Highway and write a longer review.

I just do not think you can go wrong or be let down by this car.

Very keen to hear what you make of the test drive.

Are you suggesting deleting the M Sport suspension? My recommendation would be to take the adaptive dampers if you can, especially with 19s.

No, I want the M-Sport 'passive' suspension just not the M-Performance adaptive or whatever it's called.

I just saw a black 4 series on my way to work this morning (this is the first time I've seen one in the flesh), is it me or is this car HUGE?

It look almost as big as a 6, certainly slightly taller. It wasn't x-drive. This has sorted of deflated me... I want the car to be sleek not bulky.

The 6 is longer by almost a foot, but only wider by ~3 inches.
The 4 on the other hand is taller by 0.3 inches

Visually, to me that is, the height difference is imperceptible, and the 6 is obviously longer.

That's why I really like the 4 though... I want something bigger than a 1/2 series, but not quite as big as a 6.

It is a pretty large car. Yesterday I put my deposit down on a white one. Its a good looking car more sportier in person. The white shows all the lines, the black hides them and to me you get Msport you want the lines to show

Believe me, it was perceptible. I would wager that if you put the 6 and 4 (m-sport) together the height difference would be at least an inch.

Saw a EB II over Black F32/428i for the first time yesterday. It was parked in my dealers lot next to a E92. In person it looked not as big as I thought, but lower, wider and with the M-Sport Pack, more aggressive than it's predecessor. IMO-Perfect-!! For those looking to scale it down 235i maybe the answer.

I test drove a 435i xDrive when I placed my order back in September. As a previous owner of a e92 335 I can easily say this car is superior in every way, IMO. The power delivery, transmission and handling in this car are amazing. I would highly recommend DHP. It makes a big differnece in not just handling but throttle response. I ordered my 435 after driving it. I am attaching a pic of the car I test drove.

There is no way you can be disappointed after the test drive...

... but if you somehow are, then you can always keep your e92

Either way, you can't lose.

I just did a ED on 10/23. The car drives like a dream. Super smooth on the autobahn. Driving at 130 feels like 70. Too bad other drivers wouldn't get out of my way otherwise I'd be going much faster

i don't think DHP affects throttle response at all...the 4 series comes with Sport+ mode already enabled, even without DHP

ED must have been awesome! I have the same config as you except in MG. Happy to see someone else go for CR with Burl Wood! I think they look great together and gives a good element of warmth without losing the sportiness.

...now, to wait 4 weeks till she arrives...

I wish that boomerang was the same color of the car. It stands out too much for me. Also, the Msport is a must on the F series lineup. Good luck to those who own/waiting for their vehicle.

Yeah i agree with the burl wood / CR combo. The wood tones complement the red leather really well. Also the aluminum highlight streamlines well around the entire car.

MG would have been my second choice after AW. Enjoy!

Smile F32 test drive

I test drove the same F32 435i that Tron-M3 did a couple of weeks ago.
This handled noticeably better than my 2007 335i coupe, summer performance tires, 6MT, sport, which I still love every day.
Thus, I will treat myself to an optional upgrade.

Not true BSM shows the lines very well; a former E92 owner, my F32 MSport is just great!
