DIY Brake Fluid Change ?
Ok - so many of you probably are thinking I've done it and here's how... reality is, I've never done it and don't know how... Where are all those DIYer's out there... take some pictures, teach the rest of us - will ya?
The glove is thrown, the challenge is made... ps: For those that like to say "search", I did, no diy on how to do it. pps: for those that like to say "it's included in free scheduled maintenance", my question for you is why are you even reading a DIY fluid change topic anyways. |

its the same procedure regardless of what model BMW you have. just did it on my old E46 this past weekend, took half an hour. if you need to do it without a helper, get a motive pressure bleeder, makes the job a piece of cake.

I actually picked up the motive bleeder last week and JUST did a brake fluid flush\change on my 4runner... the 4runner is the test bed for anything and everything BEFORE my bimmer gets touched... pretty easy once you've done it once... I'm still a year out on changing my bimmer brake fluids yet, but thought someone would want to do a DIY with pics... If no one does it within the year, guess I'll have to...
Thanks Orient330iNYC... |
