Ground Clearance - M235i vs 135i

So I'm finding conflicting stats on the 135's ground clearance. I'm trying to know how much lower (if at all) the M235 will be than my 135. We live in the city, drive up and down alleys, speed bumps, etc. The M235i tech sheet lists the clearance as 130 mm, but I can't find the official BMW stat for the 135i.

We had a 2008 VW R32 that was about as low as we could tolerate on a daily basis.

Any help is appreciated. I really want to the M235i for a million reasons, but I need to make sure that it works for our life.

From my experience, front overhang will be more important. My M Coupe was lowered, but had a much shorter front overhang than our stock E82 135i and the 1er hit the entrance to our driveway no matter how angled you came at it, while the MC could take it on straight on.

The M235i it comes standard with adaptive suspension . So when you put it in sport mode it lowers it by 10 mm (at least it is like that on the F30). You can also customize your settings, so if you want you could set it to be the highest or lowest.

No. It is always lowered by 10 mm over the stock suspension. Putting it into sport mode does stiffen the suspension and helps with traversing driveways, curbs, etc.

I read the link differently, sound like in sports mode the m235i is 10mm closer to the ground not 10mm higher ??

So to make the m235i the highest off the ground (body wise) would be to not put it in sports mode.

Seems logical too, any ///M model is always lower than non-M model, maybe Im just not understanding what your trying to say

I haven't done any measuring to confirm (the 135 is gone now) but the front of the M235 looks lower than that of the 135, and I have been much more careful going up and down driveways.

My dad is convinced that it's lower, but again, we didn't get a chance to measure prior to the end of the lease...

If there are places in your neighborhood or around your house that you had a good baseline with the 135, I am sure you will be able to get a good idea if they're roughly the same or not. I just have been babying mine.
