need to remove the intake back to stock for service?

I am going back to dealer to do service on Thursday...
Do I really have to put my stock intake back?
Will aftermarket intake void any warranty?

nope, i don't think any problem will occur. the intake wouldn't hurt anything.

They can only void warranty related items that they can prove were caused by the modification.
For instance: If you went from a paper filter to a oiled cloth filter, and they can prove the oil from the cloth filter somehow caused serious damage to your engine, it wouldn't be covered under warranty, but if they can't prove it, warranty.

that's true. but since the OP knows how to remove it without problem, then i would remove it and install back the old one.

Its fine if you are using a panel filter, and they might give you some hard time if it was a CAI, but they cant void your warranty if it didnt cause any damage.

i took mine in with my old intake (i dont hve it anymore) and my SA actually comlimented me on it...i dont know if he was saying that cuz he knew i was modding my car and they would end up with more money in the long run due to break-downs, or if he was actually saying the truth...

you just changed the filter media? LOL if its an intake id take it off my dumb dad asked the dealer about it when he found it in my room which is why i had to sell it . my dealer did not like that idea.

I would say the majority of the dealers should be okay with it. However, if they want to be jerks about it they can.
