Rear Ash Tray Aluminum Trim Removal

Does anyone know how to remove the aluminum trim around the rear ash tray in the E92 coupe. I had 2 drunk girls in my car tonight, and they destroyed the aluminum trim, nasty deep scratches with their high heels.

Anyone know how to remove the trim, so I can replace it.

It comes off the same way as the front trim, but with fewer clips. Take a look at the sunglasses holder DIY for details.

The rest of the story might be too much for you guys to handle. Lets just say it was worth the $105 cost of the aluminum trim.

Sounds pricey, find the part # from realoem.com or somewhere else and order from tischerBMW, put in "e90post" and "yournameone90post" in the comments and be entered to win an m-tech kit. Also it should be less expensive then that. I would hope.

Lesson 1: Never allow drunk chicks in the back seat w/ heels on.

Lesson 2: Never allow chicks w/ crazy belts in your front seat. It snags leather!

Lesson 3: Advise said chick in passenger seat to keep her hands in her lap while car is in motion.

Lesson 4: Keep close eye on chick in passenger seat while she does her make-up. They tend to get that shit on the headliner.

Lesson 5: Chick, keep your feet off of my dashboard and front windshield!

I checked on tischer's site online, the part does not pull up. So I called and it was actually $125 with them, plus shipping.

No pictures from that night. LOL It was awesome, and I am going to leave it at that. Cant wait to hang out again with these girls!

As for the lessons - (this might bring some insight as to how the aluminum got damaged)

1. Both girls where in the back sitting fine, granted very drunk, till one decided to jump on the other.

2. No chicks in the front seat, friend was going to throw up, so he needed the window.

3. No said chick in pax seat, but said chicks in back where free to use their hands to do what ever they wanted!!!

4. No chick in pax seat, make up already on.

5. No chicks putting feet on dash, just on my aluminum trim in back.
