steptronic - 2nd gear at a stop
I've been noticing something over the last couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone has heard something similar. When I'm at a complete stop and the car is in 2nd (using M mode, either voluntarily or the car automatically selecting 2nd as part of its downshift pattern) I hear this low 'rumble' or 'hum' (don't know how else to describe it) coming from the rear. It's a very audible distinction between 1st and 2nd.
Anyone else with a 320d (or other diesel/petrol model) hearing the same thing? Any thoughts?

I thought of that. It just sounds weird so I was wondering if anyone had the same thing and if it was diesel specific or across the board.
