people with non-sport steering wheels

i didnt get sport package becasue the only thing i wanted on it was the steering wheel....anyone with out the sport package do anything to their wheel to give it that thicker feel? i was thinking of putting a leather covering over it but it wont be that much thicker...i saw an e90 sport steering wheel on ebay for 399 bucks but i dunno if i wanna spend that much on it and i dont know how difficult it will be to install given the electronics and air bag...anyone mod their steering wheels yet?

YouŽd need the different airbag and the other electronics as well. YouŽd be closer to 700$ in parts plus install.

ItŽs not a difficult install. Just expensive. But then youŽd also get a change to upgrade to the Euro spec M-wheel (even thicker and perforated letaher) and be unique in the US.
Maybe thatŽd make it worth the $$$

Don't worry about it, if you wanted it bad enough you should have just go the sports pkg. It is worth it for more reasons than just the steering wheel. You opted not to get it so live without it.

In no way does the non sports steering wheel feel too small or too thin...

This is say coming from an E46 car with a sport steering wheel.
