Steering wheel thickness pre vs. post sept.
Continued from the other thread, here are photos attempting to compare the the sport steering wheel between pre-sept and post-sept cars, hope Nikki won't mind me using her picture.
Post-sept Pre-sept What do you think? Anybody has official info? The thickness looks like they're the same from 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock, and again from 10 o'clock to 1 o'clock, but it looks incredibly thick in the rest, illusion due to lighting? |

Has already been discussed.
Its not a thickness change, its the additiong of the thumb rests at 10 and 2 oclock. If I remember too bring the cam with me to the car I'll take some pics from the drivers seat point of view...

buttons are also different between them I guess, and I have the post-sept buttons. wtf?

Just checked mine and it appears that I don't have the thumb rests... but I actually heard recently that you are no longer supposed to hold the wheel at "10 and 2" position, but instead you should hold it at "4 and 8" 'cause a deployed airbag can hurl you hand towards your face if you keep it at the 10-2 position (and cause serious injury)...
And besides, who needs to rest thier thumbs anyway? Have you ever had a tired thumb? |

its called the "dont waste your money on it" wheel.
Or look up the part number for a post september production sport package steering wheel. It has nothing to do with M, so if you get it, dont go around saying you have anything M on your car.
