Trade in 335i for M3

Ok, I have around 5000 miles on the 3...what would I have to put down for to trade it in for the E92 M3 coupe/sedan?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Perhaps bankrate.com could answer some of your questions. Essentially, if you have good credit, you can finance 100% of the M3, or any car for that matter. The problem with that is the high monthly payment. The limiting factor on how much you can borrow is your income. So if you have good credit, the 335 has nothing to do with the M3. But you should anticipate at least 8k+ depreciation for the time that you've had the vehicle imho. Edmunds says more than that, but I'm not so sure about their numbers.

Patience is virtue my friend. Selling a new 335 for an M3 is going to cost you. Why didn't you just wait for the M3? Hell, you probably could have swung a nice deal on an M5 for not much more then you are about to pay for the two 3ers... But if your rich, have at it and let me know when your selling your M3!!

I shouldn't be wasting my 1st post on this, but are you serious about buying an M3 because of the badge?

If so, it's consumers like you that are causing BMW to stray from it's original roots.
