My window tinting experiance.

Well i finally got my windows tinted today at Vista BMW (they threw it in for free when i bought my car there.) i originally had an appt for last tuesday but was sick so canceled. Rescheduled for today, so i drive over straight from school to get there by 330 and get there at 315. no problem the guy says itll be 2.5 hours so to just chill in the service area. Im thinking no problem, i got my sidekick 2 and my homework on my laptop. My laptop and my sidekick 2 die, but thats not a big deal, so i start to people watch. I start to notice how rude some people can be, in paticularly the service advisors and the service receptionist. The lady behind the counter (receptionist) just had this rude attitude with the people who would come up and ask her a question. i dont know if its just that she hates her job or what ever but she doesnt make a very good impression on the way the service people there carry themselves. So i start to listen in on the conversations that the service people are having with their clients. One case in paticular is this service guy (cant remember his name) and this elderly man. this man is saying hes been waiting 3 hours to get 2 tires replaced and this is riduclas. the service guy comes up to him and starts pretty much yelling and saying how ITS NOT MY FAULT, YOU SHOULD EXPECT TO WAIT. i herd this and was outraged. the mans like fine whatever ill take a loaner and come back tomarrow. this is where i cant hear the conversation anymore because they both stepped outside. I just felt that was very rude of a SA to treat his client that way. Finally to add insult to injury, the car finally comes, and I look a the tint, I specifically said 15% whcih is darkest legal. so i get the car, its like 25 or 20. I said what ever no problem i hear it gets darker after the 3 day period of not being able to roll down your windows. Its dark out now so ill take some picutres toamrrow and post them in this topic. sorry for this long post, i had to rant.

I've never heard of it getting darker.

It sucks but sometimes people have bad days and other people are just dicks.

I on the other hand got a great experience tinting my windows. After asking around for prices, I went for the cheapest quotes ($195 for all windows except windshield). http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=bay+area+tint

I was kind of worried because I am afraid that cheap = lower quality work. I was a bit relieved when I went there and saw them tinting a Jaquar S-Type. I was even more relieved after I saw the pictures of the cars they have done...some very good cars, including a Lamborgini.

Then I saw a baseball player's picture on the wall, and there is a signature and a sentence "Juan, thanks for taking care of my car". Then I realized that is Barry Bond !! I asked the guy and he said "oh yeah, I have known him since I was 12. We do the entire San Francisco Giant's cars" !!!

I said:" I guess I came to the right place."

And the result ? Perfect of course !!

i compared it to a friends windows (who claimed to have 15%) and it looks the same. the only difference is that his car is black so it comes off with the appearance that the windows are darker. 2 days till i can roll down the windows.

HaHa Vista BMW, why am I not suprised.
By the way, did they tint the front windows lighter that the rear ones? I ask because acording to florida law, the rear windows Tint% can be less than the front windows tint %.
For example, say the darkest tint that you can get is 15% by law ( im not shure what the exact darkest % is) then you are allowed to get 15% in the rear and 20% for the front. I'm not shure if Vista folowes the law or not.

For me, I went to the place that Lauderdale imports recomended.
I got 15% for the rear and 15% for the front (illeagle)

Edit: Sorry for spelling

Look, I was rushing when I wrote my post. I didn't have time to proofread my post. I figured that I probably misspelled a few words, so I apologized for it beforehand. I just don't like the fact that you had to complain about it with your smart ass comments, after I had aready apologized. You dont have to act like a tool.

Sorry for taking this thread
