What's this cable?

Hi guys,

I just picked an 07 328xi 6speed. Very happy with my purchase however I noticed a random cable coming out of the back seat on the passenger side. Before I start to rip the rear seat out figured I'd ask here to see if anyone knows what this could be? Looks like it should definitely be plugged into something. Previous owner did not know either.

normal. other end is at the battery. its for shipping from germany. battery cutoff.
