Just bought a 07 335i w/ 90k miles (Fingers Crossed)

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce my car. Picked up a 2007 335i sedan. The car is spotless, one local owner, all maintenance records were kept, overall a really nice car. Not my favorite color combo (black on tan) but was willing to settle for such a clean car. So far I love it, got a PPI done and everything checked out so hopefully I can get a couple years of enjoyment out of it. Not a bad purchase for $14,700. First mods on the list are blacklines, JB4, and front splitters. Here's a pic I took at the dealer:

Sounds like you got a good deal. It's interesting how the kidney grills are a different style than the coupe. Judging from the wheels it doesn't have the sport package. Pretty bare bones as far as options and packages go?

I'd wait a bit before getting a splitter. They don't do anything and you may find that you'll scrape from it being too low. Drive it for a while and see if you can easily clear stuff first.

Those actually look like the type of wheels that came with the sport package on the '07-'08s. Nice car & congrats.

Oh weird. I guess there were more changes between the coupe and the sedan than I had known about. Mine came with style 189's with sport package and were 18's. Are those 17's on that car?

fingers crossed. very risky to buy a 07 with 90k miles but make sure all the things checked out. 07 are first year models and plagued with tons of problems. 09+ are the best.

check to make sure all the updates are done. watch out for the subframe hitting the p/s pump belt which will cause catastrophic damage to the engine later. check to see turbos are updated and upgraded to the latest with the fatter wastegates. other than that, the electronics and motor should be as bullet proof as 09's. oh also check the injectors too.

Yeah there are quite a few differences between the two. These are the sport package wheels for the 06-08 sedans and are 18's. Car has premium/sport and heated seats. Not loaded but not basic...

What is the best way to check for this subframe issue? A BMW indy checked the car out and said everything looks good...

Boardwalk VW...

Anyway, if you took it to Autoscope and they gave it a green light, you should be good to go.
