10/27/07 SECC Cars & Coffee
Who all's down for going to next month's Cars & Coffee put on by the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club?
I just got back from today's drive and it was sick; though I was the only E90, and there were two E92s. Needless to say, we need more E9x cars there next month. I know I know But these were the cars that were there: Lambo Murciélago, Gallardo, and LP640 Ford GT Dodge Viper Ferrari F355, 456, 2 Spiders (not sure if F430 or 360), another F car Toyota Supra 2 Vettes 5 or 6 M3s Full race spec Mini Cooper S Lotus Elise and Esprit Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Series Bentley Flying Spur Aston Martin Vantage coupe and Roadster VW R32 Maserati Quattroporte More P cars then I could possibly count Here's the info on the meet ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello All, I am proud to announce the return of the SECC & friends Cars & Coffee. Our first meet will be on Saturday May 26th 2007. We will be meeting at Cupz Coffee in North Scottsdale (11615 N 136th St Scottsdale AZ 85259, 480-657-7162) on the last Saturday of every month at 9am. We’ll hang out, talk about cars and leave for a local cruise trough some of our great roads at 10:30 am sharp that should last about an hour. We will make a stop or two for some photo opportunities. Go ahead and invite any of your Porsche friends as any and all Porsches are welcome. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Mark your calendars for future 2007 dates: October 27th November 24th December 29th

Where were you parked? I was the one with the black E92....don't think I saw an E90 but I might have just missed it...was starin at rob's girl most of the time....o yea, and that AMG C63 was just too sexy!!!! The two Ferrari Spyders were both F430's....I've raced the lovely ladies in the black F430 atleast 10 times now, she always lets me catch up enough to look over and smile and then she takes off.....for some reason, I don't mind one bit....
Edit: Hey! Thats me standin in the 3rd & 4th ones!!! Was talkin to M3_Dust about doin some runs sometime soon and also dyno'in my car in a few weeks.... |

You can see my car in that last pic. See the Jeep Liberty in the Grocery store lot?... I was parked on the other side of that. This was the first time going to the SECC meet; and when I got there, I was the first non-M BMW to get there. Was a bit hesitant to be pulling my 3er up next to a $200k car. Wasn't sure how accepting of a lowly 330i those guys would be. Yeah, the girl with the black F430 The car's nice too. Did you go for the drive? Didn't see an E92 out on the road.

HAHAHAHA, you shoulda seen me my first time out there! I got there early (9'ish) and it was still relatively empty, so I backed in my car smack in front of the Coffee shop! Within an hour, that crazy 1000+hp Supra was on one side of me, and a 1300+hp 'vette on the other....The drive was organized by monkeys this time! I followed everyone up to where they stopped to get gas and didn't feel like waiting another 45 minutes just to drive around so I left....
You goin for the Mt. Griffith drive on Saturday??? I wanna go but I'm not sure if I can make it to the Starbucks in Chandler by 8am....I'd have to leave by 7:15 at the latest to make it there.... |

Yeah, my buddy and a few of the other cars got seperated as well. He had to call me for directions to meet up with the rest of us.
I'm debating the drive this Saturday. The road looks awesome. I live in Chandler, so that's not an issue... guess it just depends how rough of a night I want Friday to be.

Don't have the money for the track day right now, otherwise I'd go.
