Got the low pressure light. CPO ran out exactly a month ago today, so BMW roadside assistance wanted to charge for the tow, but I also have AAA and they towed me to the closest dealership. Tow truck driver said I got lucky that the tire didn't blow... RFTs FTW...

I recently saw on my drive home from work a honda civic on the middle of the highway with its back tire blown out and rim on the road. RFT for the win indeed.

RFT's ride like crap and are expensive, but man having a flat tire and being stranded sucks. That happened to me three times in my 335i when I was running Pirelli P-Zero Nero's

Well, not really.
If you had normal tires, the same low pressure light would have come on, which would have allowed you to pull over. Then your friends at AAA could have mounted a spare for you and voila! You're on your way! Instead your car is at the dealership who is drooling to charge you $500 for a new tire. Yay RFTs |

Honestly even with conventional tires you should have enough time to pull over to the side of the road in the event of a flat. RFTs will allow you to drive on them a bit longer, but they will eventually fail like a conventional tire.

Haha run flat tires... I wore my down to the point where the wiring was showing.. Doing 80 and the run flats held up. Pretty amazed But run flats suck and how often do you get a flat anyway. Run better tires!
