Warranty over, is it safe to mod?

Kinda does sound like a dumb question but wanna know what you guys think. My 2009 BMW 335xi is now out of warranty, and now I wanna try something new with it and maybe install a JB4, change the intake for now. The car has about 41k miles on it, so I'm guessing it shouldn't be a problem? Car is currently stock. Just an idea and since the new F30s will be out, mods for the E90s are gonna be gone soon, so I wanna make this decision now. I'm planning on keeping the car till it dies. Thanks!

I've been modded while under factory and under CPO... no need to wait to mod. But just make sure you use the correct upgrade path and make sure you keep on top of maintaining your car well or early.

Safe not to loose warranty-yes, since its over anyway(the bumper to bumper one), as far as everything else goes, with big power comes big responsibility(all the weak points will show themselves). My car still has full warranty and CPO and I am FBO.

Thanks a lot guys. I was mostly worry that since the car was stock for 4 years, maybe the engine wouldn't be able to handle a sudden change. I guess I worry too much. Haha.

So, now the next question is, what mod should I do first? Now it's my first time modding a car, but I'm willing to learn, and can usually get most things done with a guide and few pics. I might be able to source a shop for other things too!

That depends on what you want out of the car and the size of your wallet. You want power or looks? Perhaps a bit of both. These forums are chock full of great ideas.

Greetings,
I have a stock 07' 328i, I want to add an aftermarket exhaust for sound, not to much about hp. Any recommendations for exhausts?
Also, what's a good intake to put in? Thanks

bomiheko, I suggest you first get a tune and get the BMW PE. As everyone is saying, there is an endless amount of mods.... have fun!

Mod away! As others have said.. just make sure you stay on top of maintenance... if you're a 15k oil change type of guy.... I wouldn't recommend it... and it's going to get expensive (relative).
