Mine is fading and I'm OCD and it looks like crap, anyone know the part # to replace factory or is there a DIY of taking it off and maybe repainting it?

I'm referring to this:

it is #8 on the dialog, so now that i found the part how hard could it be to change it?

the black part on the edge of the door that runs from the front windshield to back windshield, thanks!!

Doubt anyone has done it, Look at it and play with it. When you get new one in mail you'll kind of get idea how it secures/mounts because youll have new one in your hand.

Actually search on the forums. There is another name for it. If i had it saved (which i should have), i would send it your way! Esp since I need to still do this on my car! Let me know if you're having trouble finding this still!

It is called roof molding strip. You can buy it from the dealer but it comes primed not in color. To take it off you need to grab front or the back of the strip and carefully pull it up. It is fastened to the roof by six clips which most likely will get destroyed in the process so you would need to purchase those. Below you will see the link to RealOEM if your car is E92.
