2K break-in at 3k

Hello folks, just left my car to the service this morning.
I asked them no driving but they say they must do at least it 5~7km to check its oil level at its running oil temp not a big deal to me but is this necessary? my advisor insisted that the car must be driven.

My initial appointment for break-in was two weeks ago but they made a mistake scheduling me :S "no M mechanic on Saturday they said" but when I asked this morning my advisor told me there is no "M specialist" now i dont know whom to trust lol.
I went to montreal so the car has about 3500km on it.

these are what i have on my service list.

2k run in insp.
standard scope test
mpi inspection
replace differential fluid

I would ring around to find where this is an M specialist and explain the situation. If you can get the service contract switched over to them, all the better.

^ they get commission for up-sell you the parts.

The 2K service should take only 2 hrs max. oil change, diff. fluid change and reset ecu for post 2K service. How difficult can it be.

was a bit surprised how they did it in 3 hrs after my attitude bitching instead of their saying, possibility of having the car at service overnight due to overwhelmed vehicles. jesus everyone in the auto business is a fa* i would start to think
