Suspension Problem - Chassis Warning

I had my car for 2 months now and it has been back to the dealer 3 times already. I have the 2013 335xi M Sport full loaded with 19inch Wheels. I've been getting a chassis warning light that comes up at random. The problem is when this warning comes up, You loose the shock absorbers. Car takes bumps very hard. On NYC roads, you can't afford that to happen. Already bend a rim because of this. Now it's at the dealership again and they are telling me the car has a bend hub which will cost $2500 to replace. So now I'm in a fight with BMW because I will not pay to replace parts on a defective car. Oh I forgot to mention, I was driving 3 weeks ago and the car went into limp mode when I was entering the freeway. Not a nice feeling having other vehicles slamming brakes behind you.

gl trying to have bmw pay for those dmg. Even if your shocks were very tight and hard, oem wheels / hubs do not bend easy.. I mean i've seen cars on clubsport coils that are pretty much rock hard ride w/o any dmg to wheels or hubs. unless ofcourse they hit a pot hole or heavy hit by an object. No way even warranty is going to cover for those.
hopefully your car is bone stock.. maybe there is a chance..

+1

I have the adaptive KW suspension on my car and two weeks ago, when I was returning from a longer trip, I got this warning as well and suspension became rock hard. That was really no fun. ;-) It turned out that there was only some cable loose, so it was not a big deal.

this just proves that bmw will never cover suspension warranty work. will always claim you did the damage and that it's a wear and tear component. sorry man, maybe go through insurance or get the car fixed at an independent for a fraction of the price.

That sucks but I'd be happy to get in to something new considering your experience.
