High mileage (100k+) N54/335i preventative maintenance items?

I now have 101,800 miles on my 335i. It's a 02/2007 build, and I have owned it since its birth (even flew to Munich to pick it up from the old Euro Delivery facility in Freimann, Munich, Germany). Hard to believe this much time and driving has passed by!

I have no desire to ever sell this car, and hope to be it's only owner. Love it as much as Day 1. I want to see what maintenance items I should consider to keep it running as long as possible....even though it has been driven HARD throughout its life. Unfortunately for the first few years (before I knew better), I would every once in a while drive it hard when the engine was still cold. However, I made sure to go at least by the book with maintenance. I even changed all fluids at around 80k even though they are considered "lifetime" by BMW standards (manual tranny, power steering, and radiator flushes), and changed the oil at least every 7.5k miles.

Here are my major repairs so far:
-Turbos replaced under warrranty around 45k (wastegate rattle issue)
-HPFP replaced under warranty around 70k (never went bad, just asked the dealer to do it)
-Fuel injectors replaced under warranty around 70k (again, never went bad, just recommended)
-A/C blower motor switch replaced around 70k (failed)
-Strict adherence to maintenance schedules (as described above)

I still have never done these items, but am considering
-Intake valve walnut blasting
-Replacing valve cover, oil filter, and oil pan gaskets
-Replacing dual mass flywheel and clutch (this was my first manual trans car....dual mass flywheel springs have been shot for probably 70k miles now, but clutch is still good)

Is there anything else that you guys would add to the list here? Thanks!

Attaching a pic of the car rolling to 100k!

How can you tell your flywheel springs are shot?

Congrats on 100k! Yes a walnut blasting is a must! The car will run a lot smoother. If you haven't replace spark plugs and ignition coils I would do those as well. But it's likely they were done as maintenance.

EDIT: How about getting a new PCV hose and upgraded RB PCV valve? Its likely the original system is dirty and worn.

Various cooling bits, walnut shell, PCV valve for sure. Upgrade it with Robs. IMO. Looks like your car is in good shape otherwise though.

I'm close to that mileage and also 6MT! looking forward to see where this thread goes.

Is everyone on the same page with changing the oil every 10k miles?

Is it just the angle or are you running a little warmer than normal? Mine is almost always right in the middle and I had an 07 with oil cooler. I'd do cooling bits for sure, if you haven't already as mentioned above. But hey, I could be completely off base. I'm known to be wrong.. often.

Looks like he's running about 230F. That's pretty normal for an N54.

They changed the cluster to center at 250C for the folks that freak out when the temp gauge is not at or below the middle back in 03/07.

Do the water pump and t-stat as soon as you can. Mine failed at 103 k miles and left me on the side of the highway.

Do it before it goes bad.

Guys, sorry I never responded to anything in this thread!

Jdub - Regarding the flywheel springs....the drivetrain feels like it has play in it. It is most noticeable when decelerating after accelerating...ESPECIALLY in 1st gear.

smallseafishie - Thanks for answering that question. There were several changes that BMW made in Mar-07 (1 month after my car was built)...raising the max temp on the gauge was one (along with a couple extra chome interior pieces, memory buttons on the Nav, and the 6FL (I think that's right) iPod integration option.

So far, I'll add the water pump, thermostat, PCV valve, and serpentine belt to my list. Thanks guys! The car now has 103,500 miles, and will see a track day at Road Atlanta on Sept. 7th!
