BT Audio coding on 2014 F31 (NBT Nav)

Hello,

I'm looking at a 2014 F31 with NBT nav that a dealer has in stock. It has all the options I want except for the ConnectedDrive package, which includes BT Streaming, dual phone pairing & Apps.

Now I believe there is no change hardware-wise as the NBT has an integrated combox. So there must be a way to code BT Audio & Apps to that car, is there not? Does it require a simple coding change or does it involve buying an activation code?

Thanks.

There was one person from Belgium who was able to code BT Audio to a 2013 F30 equipped with NBT and 6NH.

The process would be the same as enabling it on a CIC equipped car by simply changing the bluetooth option on your VO from 6NH to 6NH then recoding your HU_NBT module.

As for BMW Apps, you will need an FSC code to enable that.

Can the FSC code be purchased at the dealership?

Technically, yes, but a dealer will almost always look at the car VO, see it does not have factory 6NR, and claim they cant order it. You can buy them though from any independent dealer with ASAP Portal access.

I have a pretty good relationship with my dealer so I don't think that's going to be an issue. What should I ask them?

Tell them you want to buy a 6NR BMW Apps FSC Code. I don't think you will get far though.
