Sun Roof Fitment
I have a 2011 E92 and I noticed the other day that the sun roof doesn't fit flush in the rear. I don't know if something has changed or if I just never noticed it. The front edge of the sun roof fits flush with the roofline however the rear edge is about 1/8th of an inch lower that the roofline. The sunroof seem to seal completely and the it moves/operates without issue. Can you guys check your sunroof and see if it fits flush with the roofline of the rear edge?

Glass should be flush with roof all the way around.
If it's down 1/8" in the rear I can't see how it's sealing - you may 'think' it's sealing only because if any water gets in around the seal, it runs in to the sunroof cassette & then down the drain tubes when working properly - so you may not see the leak. Either:
> I'd seriously try the Sunroof Reset Procedure 1st to make sure that's not the problem... Put your fob in the slot and turn the car ON (don't start it - but push the start button with your foot OFF the brake/clutch) Now, push and HOLD the sunroof button up (vent position). After about 15-20 seconds, the sunroof will vent. CONTINUE HOLDING THE BUTTON UP. After anouther couple of seconds, 15 or so (could feel long, but keep holding) , the sunroof will close, the open completely, then close completely. Once the sunroof has closed completely, the proccess is over. It's important that you do not let go of that button while the proccess is happening. > Check tracks for any debris that would stop sunroof from fully closing > If that doesn't work try mechanical adjustment - remove the rubber accordian boots on either side, you will find Torx screws that hold the glass to the mechanism. The holes for these screws are elongated to allow for adjustment of the glass. You can raise the rear of the glass up by loosening the rear screws, pushing glass up higher in rear, then tightening screws. Gonna be trial & error from inside car - but adjust as necessary until the glass is flush with roof line all the way around.
