Thieves got into my car in my driveway!
...i'm kinda lazy, so sometimes i leave my golf clubs in the front seat of my car overnight...got up yesterday morning and noticed the passenger side window was down and my clubs were missing! i was thinking lots of murderous thoughts ...i'm usually pretty good at getting the auto battened down at night, but there is a chance i left the window down...what makes me think it was up is that when i went to sit in the driver seat, it was in memory position 2 instead of memory position 1, which is where i always leave it...the other fob (for position 2) is not currently working...my knees were all the way up on the dash, so i knew something wasn't right
...my quetion is this...are there baddies out there that can somehow mimic BMW fobs to open windows? that would really suck...if so, short of installing the alarm system, is there any way to prevent this?

If someone used a fob to lower your windows they would all be down. You left your passenger window open.

One of my favorite reviews ever from Top Gear:
Cue the baddies a bit after the 0:50 mark. I think the part after the mall is even better though, haha. OP: Sorry about your car. While criminals could easily do worse things, stuff like this still just ruins people's days, if not more. I hope the baddies that stole your stuff crashed their Corvette.

Saw a news article on TV
Saw a news article on TV
They had caught some robbers on camera using a new device that can unlock your car they not even sure what it is. Apparently it has showed up on the radar in the LA area. Park it in the garage or a laser security fence. |

i'm accepting the fact that i may have left the window down, and probably did...i'm more curious about the memory setting on the driver's side seat and mirrors...i always use setting 1, but when i got to the car the next day it was in memory position 2...not sure how that could happen unless i accidently bumped the memory button on the driver's seat on my way out of the car...doesn't seem likely...
